Collard Greens
If you like smoky collard greens, just add a touch of liquid smoke.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch collard greens
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash apple cider vinegar
- 1 quart chicken stock
- 3 quarts water
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
Directions
- Triple wash the greens by adding a little salt and vinegar to the wash water.
- Chop up collards and add to a large pot. Add chicken stock, water, and liquid smoke, if desired.
- Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat until liquid has reduced to about a quart.
- Serve greens with their juices and hot pepper vinegar, if desired.
