Dark Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Chewy cookies that are so delicious dipped in cold milk.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups old-fashioned uncooked oats
- 1 12 oz package dark chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a dish, melt the butter in the microwave until soft.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
- Add the sugars and melted butter to a mixing bowl. Cream butter and sugar at medium speed until light in color and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and continue to mix again until fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
- Then slowly add the flour mixture, a little at a time, and mix until just well combined. Do not over-mix.
- Add oats and mix until combined. Remove bowl from mixer and fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake at 375°F until golden brown, about 10–12 minutes.
