Dutch Oven Cobbler
One taste of this strawberry cobbler and you'll want to jump the Double Dutch with joy!
Ingredients
- Filling3 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 can sliced peaches
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup biscuit baking mix
- Topping2 1/4 cups baking mix
- 1/2 cup sugar, divided
- 4 Tbs butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
- Lightly grease the Dutch oven and preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine the frozen strawberries and peaches in a large mixing bowl. Toss fruit with sugar and biscuit baking mix; mix until well coated and then pour into the Dutch oven.
- Next combine baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla until just combined (it’s ok if it's lumpy).
- Using your hands or a spoon, scoop out balls of dough and drop onto the fruit in the Dutch oven. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the biscuits have turned a golden brown with fruit bubbling through the cracks in the dough.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving with vanilla ice cream or your favorite whipped topping.
