Onion Sauté
Herbaceous onions that are so tender, you'll want to put them on everything.
Ingredients
- 4 cups yellow or white onions, sliced into rings
- 1 pinch saffron powder (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp fresh, chopped parsley
- 2 tsp fresh, chopped chives
- 2 tsp fresh, chopped thyme
- 2 tsp olive oil
Directions
- Break apart onion slices into individual rings and place in large mixing bowl.
- Mix saffron, salt, and pepper; mix in fresh herbs.
- Sprinkle seasoning mixture over onion rings, tossing to combine evenly.
- Heat oil over medium heat in non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté for approximately 8 minutes, or until onions are tender.
