The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie
Slightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 2 extra large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 12 oz package chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt the butter in the microwave until half melted.
- Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add the sugars and butter; cream at medium speed until light in color and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and continue to mix again until fluffy. Then add vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- Slowly add the flour mixture a little at a time and just mix until well combined. Do not over mix.
- Remove from mixer and fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake at 375°F until golden brown on an air-bake pan, without any non-stick sprays or oils for about 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
