Mifepristone
Common brand names:
MifeprexMifepristone, also known as RU486, is used to induce abortion, and is classified both as a progesterone and a glucocorticosteroid receptor antagonist. It has also been used experimentally to treat Cushing’s syndrome (hyperfunctioning adrenal glands), breast cancer, and glaucoma.

Modified Shenghua Tang
The most common side effect of mifepristone is excess vaginal bleeding. One controlled study showed that drinking modified shenghua tang (a tea made from bupleurum, angelica, ligusticum, peach kernel, baked ginger, and leonurus) greatly reduced the number of days that bleeding occurred following mifepristone therapy.
