Uses
This medication implant is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open-angle type) or other eye diseases (such as ocular hypertension). Lowering high pressure inside the eye can help prevent blindness. Travoprost may lower pressure inside the eye by helping fluid inside the eye flow out.
How to Use This Medication
This medication implant is placed in the eye(s) by a health care professional. The affected eye is numbed before the procedure.
Rarely, the implant may move out of place. Your doctor will monitor the position of the implant in the eye with regular eye exams.
Most people with glaucoma or high pressure in the eye do not have symptoms. To monitor the effect of this medication implant, keep all medical appointments with your doctor.
The implant may be removed and replaced once a year. Consult your doctor for more details.
