Some products that may interact with this drug include: amiodarone, atazanavir, certain benzodiazepines (alprazolam, midazolam, triazolam), conivaptan, eletriptan, ergot alkaloids (such as dihydroergotamine, ergonovine, ergotamine, methylergonovine), a certain combination HIV medication (elvitegravir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/tenofovir), orlistat, pimozide, ranolazine, rifampin, certain "statin" cholesterol drugs (lovastatin, simvastatin), St John's wort.

Other medications can affect the removal of indinavir from your body, which may affect how indinavir works. Examples include apalutamide, certain anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone), among others.

Indinavir can slow down the removal of other medications from your body, which may affect how they work. Examples of affected drugs include asunaprevir, flibanserin, lurasidone, pacritinib, regorafenib, salmeterol, trazodone, certain calcium channel blockers (such as nifedipine, felodipine, nicardipine), drugs to treat erectile dysfunction-ED or pulmonary hypertension (such as sildenafil, vardenafil), among others.
