Netarsudil-LatanoprostPrecautionsBefore using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to netarsudil or latanoprost; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: eye problems (such as macular edema, iritis, uveitis, lens extraction/aphakia, herpes infection of the eye). After you apply this drug, your vision may become temporarily blurred. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs clear vision until you can do it safely. If you develop an eye infection or injury, or have eye surgery, ask your doctor if you should continue to use the current bottle of this medication. You may be advised to start using a new bottle. Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products). During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. Side EffectsEye discomfort/redness/itching, increased tears, temporary blurred vision, changes in eyelash number/color/length/thickness, eyelid changes/skin darkening, or corneal staining may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This medication may slowly (over months to years) cause the colored portion of the eye (iris) to turn brown. If you are using this medication in only one eye, only that iris may change color. This color change may be permanent but the long-term effects are uncertain. Tell your doctor if this occurs and schedule regular eye exams to monitor it. Remember that this medication has been prescribed because your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: vision changes, eye pain, unusual redness or swelling of the eyes/eyelids. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
