About This ConditionJet lag is a disturbance of the sleep-wake cycle triggered by travel across time zones. SymptomsJet lag causes a combination of symptoms, including daytime sleepiness, disorientation, poor concentration, fatigue, gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, difficulty falling asleep, and frequent waking from sleep.
